Angry PML-N workers protest against sentence of Nawaz Sharif

Lahore/ Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers on Friday held a protest demonstration across the country against the conviction of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.


Beating their chests and burning tires PMLN supporters carried banners, placards, and pictures of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  and chanting slogan in his favor.

Demonstrators said that only PML-N workers have right to elects their party leader, adding the PML-N has always respected the courts and other national institutions. They regretted that it seems that Nawaz Sharif and his family is being selectively targeted.

On the other hand, jubilant PTI workers pour out onto streets to celebrate the accountability court verdict.

Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed remarked that a political bigwig has been sentenced for the first time in Pakistan’s history.
