Web Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehaman has urged masses to vote for the right person in the upcoming general elections 2018.
Speaking with Digital Media journalists meetup at private hotel, NA-250 candidate Hafiz Naeem said that Karachi needs a leadership which can solve the basic issues of the metropolis.
“JI was the only party who raised voice on the issues like electricity, water crises and NADRA,” he added.
On a question over alliance with Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam( JUI-F), Hafiz Naeem said that JI is not in a position to bear a major part of federal politics that’s why the alliance with Maulana Fazul ur Rehman’s JUI-F was necessary.
JI chief claimed that MMA will get major seats from Karachi in general elections 2018.
Taking a jibe at the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQMP), the JI chief said that both the parties remained in the power for so many years but both had failed to provide water to people. The politics of last 30 years had dented the city badly.
“If free and fair elections are held then MMA will win a considerable amount of seats from all over Pakistan, along with Karachi.
On a question over possible alliance with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in post elections, Hafiz Naeem was unable to give a satisfactory answer with regards to taking a principal stance against political parties they support and possibilities of future alliances.
“We are pretty confident of grabbing a good number of seats from KPK,” said Hafiz Naeem.
It is pertinent to mention here that Hafiz Naeem-ur Rehman is contesting election from NA-250 Karachi’s constituency.
The other candidates from NA-250 are Fayyaz Qaimkhani (MQM-P), Syed Munawar Raza (PML-N), Attaullah Khan (PTI), Shahi Syed (ANP), Hafeezuddin (PSP) and Ali Ahmed (PPP).
