Live updates: PTI leading with 115 seats, as ECP announces results of 267 NA-seats

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is on top with 115 National Assembly seats in the general elections 2018, Newsone reported.

According to the results, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading with 115 NA seats. Trailing is the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 64 and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) with 43 seats.

There are a total of 13 independents in the NA so far as well.

All Parties Conference on Friday has rejected the July 25 election results, announced to start movement across the country for reelections.

The APC was convened by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).

Speaking to the reporters after the conference, MMA chief Fazl-ur-Rehman and Shehbaz Sharif announced that APC has rejected the results and decided that polls must held again in the country.

“We don’t consider the election results as public mandate. We will not take the oath until our demands are met,” said MMA chief.

PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said that he will announce the further step in next few days.

“All parties in APC were insist on massive rigging in Elections 2018,” said PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif.

It is pertinent to note that main political parties such as Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan did not attend the APC.

NA-190: PTI’s Zulfikar Ali Khosa has emerged victorious in NA-190 Dera Ghazi Khan-2 polls by securing 62,936 votes. Khosa was followed by independent candidate Amjad Farooq Khosa, who bagged 56,310.

NA-246: PTI’s Abdul Shakoor Shad wins with 52,750 votes, beating TLP’s Ahmed who secured 42,345 votes. Bilawal Bhutto was at third with 39,325 votes.

NA-102: PTI’s Nawab Sher Waseer wins in NA-102, Faisalabad 2 with 109,708 votes. PML-N’s Tallal Chaudhry runner up with 97,869 votes.

NA-247: PTI’s Arif Alvi wins in NA-247 Karachi with 91,020 votes. MQM-Pakistan’s Farooq Sattar runner-up with 24,146 votes.

NA-16: PTI’s Ali Khan Jadoon has emerged victorious from NA-16 Abbottabad-2 by securing 91,770 votes. Jadoon was followed by PML-N candidate Malik Mohammad Awan, who bagged 57,995 votes.

NA-155: PTI’s Amir Dogar has won the election in NA-155 Multan-2 by attaining 88,567 votes, unofficial and unconfirmed results from all polling stations suggested. PML-N candidate Sheikh Mohammad Tariq Rasheed stood runner-up with 71,457 votes.

NA-150: Independent candidate Syed Fakhar Imam won polls in NA-150 Khanewal-1 by securing 82,595 votes. PTI’s Mohammad Raza Hayat Hiraj stood runner-up with 71,034 votes.

NA-194: PTI’s Nasrullah Dareshak won NA-194 Rajanpur-2 election by securing 75,209 votes. Dareshak was followed by independent Hafeezur Rehman Khan Dareshak, who attained 60,311 votes.

Pakistan’s nearly 106 million registered voters had a chance to choose their representatives in the national and provincial assemblies — as well as their next prime minister — the country went through its 11th General Election on Wednesday.

Polling began at 8AM and concluded without any break, at 6PM across the country’s 85,307 polling stations, of which 17,007 have been declared “highly sensitive” were all involved in the electoral process where voters actively participated.

As many as 12,570 candidates contested for a total of 849 seats of national and provincial assemblies in the general election.

Vote count began after polling ended and the unofficial and unconfirmed result started pouring out from different polling stations of various constituencies across the country.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday has accepted failure in Results Transmission System (RTS) as delay in elections results, Newsone reported.

Delay has not been caused by any immoral conspiracy’ or pressure,” clarified ECP Secretary Babar Yaqoob.

The Results Transmission System (RTS) is run through a software powered by National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra).

Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on late Wednesday has rejected Election 2018 results and decide to summon an All Parties Conference soon over allegedly rigged results.

The MMA chief in his statement said that ‘the rigged results are unacceptable’ to the alliance.

Pakistan Muslim League President Shehbaz Sharif has also rejected general elections results and announced that PML-N would devise future strategy by collaborating with other political parties.
