ISLAMABAD: Accordding to Media sources, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has been handed over a helicopter to transport disgraced premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz from Lahore to Islamabad after they return to the country on this Fruday.
Earlier, DG NAB Lahore Shahzad Saleem had written a letter to the chairman NAB Justice (R) Javed Iqbal requesting that a helicopter be provided to transfer the two high-profile figures, the sources added.
The letter stated read that a rally will be held in Lahore on the arrival of the former premier, according to sources, which may create difficulties in arresting the father-daughter duo.
The law and order situation in Lahore may also deteriorate because of the rally, it said.
Ex Chief minister Punjab and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif direct his party worker to reach Lahore on 13th July to welcome their supreme leader Nawaz Sharif on his return to Pakistan during his address at public gathering in Sharif Kot, reported News one.
“Nawaz and Maryam will be given a warm welcome on their return to the country” said Shahbaz.
He further praised Nawaz Sharif and said that he dwells in people’s heart and can never be extruded.
On Monday addressing public gathering at Nankana sahib Shehbaz said that Accountability court in its verdict has accepted that Nawaz Sharif was not involved in the corrupt practices.
“No corruption was proven against Nawaz Sharif,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz planned their return back to Pakistan on 13th July after they were sentenced imprisonment by NAB court in Avenfield reference.
While NAB has decided to arrest both the accursed from the Airport premises as their plane lands and transfer both of them to Jail through helicopter.
