“Don’t know why the jeep symbol was criticised for out of cause. I don’t even how many politicians are contesting on the symbol of Jeep,” he said while addressing party workers in Taxila.

Nisar further said that he will not go at Lahore airport to welcome former prime minister Nawaz sharif, adding that he don’t know when he met Shehbaz Sharif last time.

“Not in contact with Shehbaz Sharif, I would not go at Airport to welcome Nawaz,” he added.

Nisar explained that by contesting the election as independent doesn’t mean that he will leave PML-N, adding that arrest of political leaders before election 2018 is condemnable.

Earlier in a day on answering a question regarding a symbolic “Jeep” the election symbol of Chaudhry Nisar, Asif Ghafoor asked the media and others involved to stop with the conspiracy theories, he jokingly added “The jeep you are trying to pain in the Army colors is not the one shown in the symbol, those jeeps are more readily seen driven by civilian candidates.”

I am confident in the ECP’s abilities, they are determined to hold, free, fair and transparent elections.
