KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) on Saturday nominated former opposition leader in NA Syed Khursheed Shah for the slot of speaker National Assembly, Newsone reported.
“PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has approved Khursheed Shah’s name for NA speaker,” said PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.
He said that despite reservations over general elections 2018 PPP has decided to fight the case in the National Assembly.
“Will give tough time to PTI and its alliance parties by strengthening parliament,” he added.
Earlier, PPP leader Sherry Rehman speaking to a media by APC meeting reveal that the candidate for the speaker of the house after a consensus has been decided to be a representative of PPP, the deputy speaker will be nominated by MMA and the candidate for PM’s chair will be a representative of PML-N.
After a long and arduous APC (All Parties Conference) the spokesmen of all respective participants came out and said there bit on the matters that came into discussion behind closed doors.
PTI Spokesperson Sherry Rehman out rightly declared the General Elections 2018 partial. ‘The opposition parties will not desecrate their oath’, she added.
APC agreed to hold massive protests in and outside of the parliament.
