LAHORE: The Returning Officer on Friday has approved Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Saad Rafique’s plea, which challenged his opponent Imran Khan’s victory in NA-131 Lahore constituency.
On Friday, Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz) leader and ex railway minister challenged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s victory from Lahore’s NA-131.
Rafique alleged that massive irregularities occurred during the vote counting process.
The PML-N leader filed a complaint with the returning officer (RO) concerned and claimed that the presiding officer concerned had deliberately rejected hundreds of votes.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) leader Imran Khan created history by winning all 5 seats of NA he was contesting from.
NA-131 was one of the seat apart from Karachi, Bannu, Islamabad and Mianwali where Imran emerged victorious.
