Rishi Kapoor wants to act in JPNA-2 but can’t

Did you enjoy the previous cast of Jawani Phir Nai Ani Part 1? Well the good news is that Mawra Hocane will be doubling the fun. The bubbly and stylish Mawra Hocane grabs her chance in the upcoming sequel Jawani Phir nahin Ani 2 after signing on Hum TV’s upcoming Drama “Angan.”

If you aren’t aware of the previous story line of 2015’s JPNA then it starts off with a group of three husbands (Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahmed Ali Butt and Vasay Chaudhary) who are lead by Humayun Saeed on a secret vacation away from their wives (Sarwat Gillani, Uzma Khan and Aisha Khan).
On the other hand, Humayan finds himself in a tug of war over him between stunning actresses Mehwish Hayat and Sohai Ali Abro.

JPNA won 2 awards out of 10 nominations at the LUX Style Awards’s at the 2nd ARY film awards and it won 18 awards from different categories while receiving 29 nominations.

You’ll also be seeing Jeeto Pakistan’s Fahad Mustafa instead of Hamza Ali Abbasi alongside Syra Shahroz joining rest of the cast.
Hamza Ali Abbasi won’t be joining JPNA 2 since he is busy with 2 upcoming movies: Parwaz Hai Junoon and a Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jutt remake.

Fahad Mustafa is excited about his participation in JPNA-2 as he mentions in an interview and is looking forward to visiting all the exotic locations which includes South Africa and Thailand.

A source mentioned that the co-producer Humayun Saeed will start the shooting of the movie from next month in Turkey and some parts of it will be shot in Dubai followed by other destinations.

The male leads of JPNA-2 look in good spirits about their upcoming realease.

It had also been reported that Nadeem Baig approached Rishi Kapoor to star in his upcoming sequel JPNA2 ,but Rishi Kapoor immediately denied the role stating that the people in his country would be offended by his appearance in Pakistani films.

Unlike some of the celebrities, Kapoor was quite vocal about his outrageous opinion about Pakistan and the heightening tension revolving around its artists.

“I was offered a Pakistani film, but I will not do it. My country won’t like me to do it. And I am a proud Indian. If Pakistan is a terrorist state, I don’t want to be a part of them… they (Pakistani actors) even refused to denounce the Uri attacks, for which I am a little upset,” said Kapoor.

The actor was quick to add that films that were made before Uri attacks and the ordeal that followed should not face the brunt. He was quoted as saying,“ They (the Pakistani actors) had official work permits granted by the government of India at that point in time… We cannot afford to escalate or do anything that is unbecoming; it could be fatal to both the countries. Henceforth, I can understand if the government tells us to follow something. But we can’t ban the films that have been already made, because there is so much money involved.”

“Recently, I was approached for a Pakistani film; it was the sequel to one of their biggest hits. I heard the story and found it interesting. Now, of course, it is not possible to act in it. The situation was ironic.” Rishi was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

On the other hand the Humayun Saeed shared that he would love to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the near future.

I believe that Nadeem baig and Humayun Saeed’s decision will serve to have a purposeful outcome. Mawra’s happy go lucky personality and adorable expressions might add some more flavor to the film. After Mawra’s first cinema debut Bollywood film Sanam Teri Kasam , JPNA2 will be her first entry into the Pakistani Film Industry.
