PESHAWAR: Senior TV actor Iftikhar Qaiser passed away in Peshawar this morning after protracted illness.
The 60-year-old actor was admitted to the ICU of Lady Reading Hospital a few days back after his condition deteriorated and was undergoing dialysis on daily basis.
According to the doctors, both the kidneys of the actor had failed.
His funeral prayers will be offered at Haji Camp in Peshawar after which he will be buried in his family graveryard.
Iftikhar Qaiser’s artistic career is based on 45 years. After being affiliated with Pakistan Television in 1971, he showed his skills in thousands of Hindko, Pashto and Urdu plays.
He is a recipient of President s Pride of Performance Award for his outstanding performance.
