Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin Noor Jehan to contest elections from Peshawar

Web Desk: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin Noor Jehan will be contesting the upcoming general elections from a Peshawar constituency.

Noor Jehan, who has collected her nomination forms from the Election Commission, will be running for a Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly seat from PK-77 constituency.

She belongs to Awami National Party, but Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin will be participating in the polls as an independent candidate.

Their grandfather was part of the peaceful struggle since 1930, which was headed by Bacha Khan.

According to Jehan, Shah Rukh Khan first visited Pakistan accompanied with his father in 1978. The second time, Khan visited in 1980 along with his sister, Jehan recalls that they all were teenagers during that time and had a wonderful time together.

The Awami National Party (ANP) had also considered Jehan for a reserved seat for women, but unfortunately she couldn’t make it to the K-P Assembly.
