Police use water cannon against ‘Fix it’ campaigners in Karachi

KARACHI: Police on Sunday cracked down on protesting Fixit campaigners, led by Alamgir Khan, outside Karachi Press Club.


The Fix it campaigners gathered outside the Karachi Press Club to protest against the provincial government over its failure to fix the problems facing the education system.

The police resorted to a baton charge fired water cannon and tear-gas shells to prevent the protesters from heading towards the Governor House located in Karachi’s Red Zone.

At least ten protesters were arrested for attempting to enter the red zone, the police said.

Hence, no reports of causalities has been reported.
