ISLAMABAD: The Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has taken notice of an increase in pharmaceutical drug prices and allegations of corruption pertaining to the matter.
According to media reports, the Chairman of anti-graft body has directed Director General NAB Rawalpindi for an investigation into the matter.
Chairman NAB said that pharmaceutical drugs are out of reach for common man after the hike in the prices while adding that drugs shortage is also reported.
The NAB head instructed to review every aspect of the matter and perpetrators should face harsh punishment.
Moreover, a day earlier, PM Imran Khan also directed to bring down drug prices while president a cabinet meeting here at Islamabad.
