Tareen-Qureshi face to face as latter not happy over former inclusion in official meetings

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Foreign Minister of Pakistan and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf— Shah Mehmood Qureshi voiced his concern over the presence of Jahangir Tareen who is close aide of Prime Minister, Imran Khan in official meetings.


In a presser, the foreign minister asserted that Jahangir Tareen should not attend the official meetings as it gives Pakistan Mulim League (Nawaz)’s spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb to raise fingers.

“The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz raises questions that whether this is contempt of court. [The] PTI representative is mentally unable to accept this,” the foreign minister added.

However, responding to Qureshi’s remarks, Tareen said that no one can stop him from serving Pakistan.

“No one including Shah Mehmood Qureshi can stop me from serving Pakistan. Wherever I go, I go [as per] the wishes of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” Tareen added.

Jahangir Tareen was disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for r Article 62 and 63 of the constitution, barring him too hold public office, in December, 2017.
