1965 war was an aggression of India: Rasheed


ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said that 1965 war was undoubtedly won by Pakistan and this has also been recognized by the world.


Addressing a function in connection with Defense of Pakistan Day in Islamabad today, he said on this day India failed in its aggression while Pakistan remained successful in defending its territory.

Rasheed added besides armed forces, every segment of the society played pivotal role in defense of Pakistan.

Singers and poets through their voice and pen infused a new spirit of patriotism in the nation in 1965, Rasheed said.

Information Minister Pervez Rasheed also paid rich tributes to industrialists, traders and vendors who maintained supply line during the war.

The minister said the enemies want to destabilize Pakistan politically and economically through terrorism. He urged the nation to foil nefarious designs of the enemy through unity.
