22 schoolgirls fall victim to anti-dengue spray in Jhelum

JEHLUM: At least 22 girls fell unconscious at a government high school Saturday after anti-dengue spray by the local administration in Jhelum.

The affected students were rushed to Domeli Hospital.

A similar incident also took place in Attock on Thursday where scores of girls passed out due to spurious spray to prevent dengue.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered to probe into the incident.

“Such incidents are unacceptable and action would be taken against officials for showing negligence,” he said.

Shahaz directed advisor to the CM on health, secretary health and local administration to submit the report of the incident.

The chief minister also directed to provide best available medical treatment to the affected students.
