UN’s children’s agency, UNICEF, speaks the year 2013 saw a 30-percent increase in the number of children cause to death or wounded in fighting in Afghanistan compared to 2012.

On July, a new UNICEF report shows that at least 545 children were cause to death and 1,149 hurt in Afghanistan during 2013.

Armed opposition groups, adding the Taliban and Hezb-e-Islami, were responsible for 889 casualties, the report states.

Pro-government military units and international military forces were responsible for 206 casualties, mainly taking place during violent encounters. And international military airstrike’s cause to death 37 children and wounded 19, as stated to sources.
