LAHORE: Punjab Advocate General has submitted the statement of the Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif to questioning tribunal on the Model Town Incident.

Sharif in his affirmation, stated that he got to know about the issue through television and that he had scolded the Principal Secretary of Punjab, for keeping him uninformed.Justice Ali Baqar resumed the hearing, during which the Advocate General stated the statement by the CM Shahbaz. Sharif, which the court ordered to be read out.

The Chief Minister in his statement prononuced, while he was in that respect at the Governor House Punjab, for attending the oath-taking ceremony of the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, where from he got to know via television that a heavy detail of police and PAT workers are suffering outside the Minhaj UL Quran International (MQI) Secretariat.

In the time of the meeting, he came to know about the fact that bullets were discharged outside the MQI Secretariat, consequently killing innocent people over there, at which he graded to furnish better facilities to the departed and the injured of the incident.

Shahbaz said a joint inquiry team (JIT) was formed after the effect and a tribunal comprising of a high court judge was also realized, in lodge to ensure transparent investigations of the Model Town Incident.

Besides, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) also took the record of telephonic conversation between many people, to the tribunal, following which the inquiry tribunal adjourned the hearing of the sheath.
