ATC accepts PPP’s Naheed Khan’s plea to become party in BB murder case

RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has accepted the plea of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Naheed Khan for becoming a party in Benazir Bhutto murder case after nine years, Dunya News reported on Monday.

Naheed Khan appeared before the court alongwith her lawyer and submitted a petition in which she stated that Asif Ali Zardari’s driver Javed-ur-Rehman leveled false accusations against her during the trial, in response to which she wants to give clarification.

She requested in her plea that the record of the case should be handed over to her so that she can submit her statement.

The court while accepting the petition for hearing issued notice to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and summoned detailed reply till September 14.
