AUCKLAND: Chris Cairns denies corruption allegations

On Tuesday Former New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns has neglect match fixing and corruption allegations against him


“I have never been a part of corruption in my lifetime”, Cairns said.

New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum had said that “Player-X” had approached him to determine matches.

Former Kiwi batsman Lou Vincent had also stated that he was offered money by an undisclosed player to cheat in cricket matches.

The former Kiwi all rounder said that the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit of International Cricket Council (ICC) is investigating the issue due to which he has come under suspicion.

It should be noted that Cairns had won a match fixing case oppose the former Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Lalit Modi.
