Corps Commander Karachi assures all possible flood-relief help

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday called on Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah and exchanged views on flood situation in Sindh.


The spokesperson of the CM House said that CM Qaim Ali Shah thanked the corps commander for Pakistan Army’s assistance to civil administration at different dykes on Indus.

On the occasion, Gen Mukhtar assured the chief minister all possible assistance by the military in dealing with flood.

Torrential rains in majority areas of Sindh have caused flood situation forcing masses to move to safer places.

Several houses collapsed in the wake of recent heavy rains with a few casualties also reported.
