ECP was ill-prepared for LG polls in KP: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that Election Commission was not well prepared for the local government elections of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“One voter had to cast his vote for seven candidates and all this process needed lot more time and management,” Khan told media persons outside the Supreme Court.

He asked how one could manage such a massive exercise in just one day.

To a question, Khan said Khyber Pakhuntkhwa government doesn’t not interfere in police matters. Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was different from that of Sindh and Punjab, he said.

“Police had shot 100 people in Punjab and yet Rana Sanaullah was made the minister,” he said

The PTI chief said that Hamid Mir presented evidence of printing of additional ballot papers in the last general elections.

He deplored NADRA chief for leaving abroad instead of showing up before election tribunal in NA-122 case. The election tribunal should conducted hearing on the daily basis, Khan demanded.
