KARACHI: On Friday, Electricity was suspended all over Karachi as well as in several parts of Hyderabad, Jamshoro and other territories of the southern Sindh province due to the evolution of technical problems in the National Grid Line.
Referable to the power breakdown, several water board pumping stations had also stopped working as a result of which electricity supply to Dhabeji, Gharo, Nak and Pepri pumping stations was set aside.
As stated to souces, feeders tripped in Karachi’s areas of Saddar, defense, Clifton, Burns Road, Lines Area, Gulistan-I-Jauhar, Korangi, North Karachi, Nazimabad, Federal B Area, Liaqatabad and North Nazimabad.
Withal, a K-Electric spokesman stated the entire urban center was without power. The spokesman said that electricity supply had been suspended all across Karachi due to the tripping of production units, adding that the KE administration was in constant contact with the National Grid.
KE’s representative stated board production units had turned on due to the setting off of production units in the National Grid. On its Twitter account, KE said restoration of power may take a while and refrained from throwing an estimated time.
