Five terrorists killed in Rangers, police joint operation in Karachi


KARACHI: According to details, Rangers and police launched a joint operation in Manghupir area of Karachi on Sunday on a tip-off that terrorists were present in the area.


The militants opened fire on the raiding party, injuring two personnel of law enforcement agencies. The law enforcement agencies returned the fire as a result five terrorists of a banned outfit were killed.

Police sources said that arms and explosives were also recovered from the dead militants. The bodies of the dead terrorists were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

On the other hand, some unidentified persons opened fire in Baldia Ittehad area and killed a man and wounded another. The identity of the victims is not yet known.
