Ibrahim – Govt actions not right for dialogue process

PESHAWAR – Jamaat-eIslamici leader and member of the peace talk committee from Taliban side Prof Muhammad Ibrahim on Tuesday stated that lack of coordination with the government committee is bearing on the ongoing dialogue process with the Tehreek-e-Taliban


Lecturing to a private TV channel, the Taliban negotiator said that cognitive process was underway in South Waziristan whereas curfew continued in different voices of North Waziristan.

He stated such actions were not a good portent for the future of the talk’s process. He likewise stated that the government committee has neither contacted Taliban committee nor responded to it. The peace talks had been going on since February but recently stalled again when Taliban called off a ceasefire.
