Imran khan celebrates Eid with IDPs in Bannu and distributes gifts

PESHAWAR: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has reached Bannu to celebrate Eid with the IDPs of Waziristan, where he also distributed Eid gifts among the policemen.


Speaking to the media on the occasion, Imran Khan said that PTI is determined to fix every possible attempt to support IDPs of Waziristan. He said that PTI and KPK provincial Government support IDPs and can provide every possible facility now and on.

Replying to a question about the cold response of Punjab and Sindh Government to the IDPs, Imran Khan said that it is highly condemnable to marginalize countrymen. He said that IDPs cannot be left in isolation in their difficult time. He told the media that PTI is working hard to collect funds for IDPs.

The locals of Bannu demonstrated amazing compassion by celebrating Eid with the IDPs and enjoyed the celebration with the traditional rice dish.

Earlier, Secretary Information Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf Sherien Mazari wrote in her twitter message that due to bad weather Imran Khan’s Helicopter has made an emergency landing in Kohat.

Eidul Fitr is being celebrated today in most parts of Peshawar and Waziristan after the proclamation made by the Qasim Ali Khan Mosque, a local rate-e-Hilal Committee. Eid prayers and gatherings were commenced at all major mosques, including a Mohabbat Khan Mosque and Qasim Ali Khan Mosque.

The provincial government, however, has announced to celebrate Eid with the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. So, there are locals in a few areas who are keeping their feasts today and would be celebrating Eid with the government.

The IDPs in Bannu are also celebrating Eid following the suit of the local scholars. Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Bara, Mohmand Agency, Bajaur Agency and Shabqadar also rejoiced their Eid celebrations.
