Imran stresses need to spend tax payers money on masses

GALIYAT: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Friday stressed the need to spend tax payers money for the betterment of masses.

Addressing a ceremony with regard to handing over of government owned Rest Houses to Khyber Pakhutunkhwa Tourism Department, the PTI chairman said money earned through the initiative would be spent on people.

“We need to win trust of people, introduce a tax culture to show money will be spent on the masses,” the PTI chairman added.

He said that the provincial government would not sell the old Rest Houses because it had earlier earned Rs4 million by spending only Rs40, 000 by opening them for people.”We will restore all old Rest Houses in KP, and local staff working there will not be fired,” he said.

He said tax payers money must be spent for their own benefit and development of areas concerned. Imran Khan also announced to open governor and chief minister houses for people when the PTI comes to power. “We do not have funds for clean drinking water, education, while tax payer’s money is spent on Governor Houses,” Imran Khan lamented.

The PTI chairman said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was staying in the CM house due to security reasons. “But expenses of KP CM houses are much less in comparison with Punjab and other provinces,” he added.
