India agrees to resume Samjhota Express service: Railways spokesman


LAHORE: India has finally agreed to resume Samjhota Express train service after seven days.


A spokesman of Pakistan Railways said that the Indian Railway authorities have confirmed resumption of the service.

The service of Samjhota Express between Lahore and Amritsar will resume from tomorrow.

Some 200 passengers were affected last Thursday when Samjhota Express was stopped at the Wagah Border by the Indian authorities who cited potential security risks due to protests by farmers.
