ISLAMABAD: ECP has no book of ballot papers of 139 constituencies

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has no record of ballot papers of 139 constituencies, a senior officer revealed on Wednesday.

After sinking of one year since the May 11 general election, ECP has not received details of voting papers from returning officers.

Out of these 139 constituencies, 70 are in Punjab, 32 are in Sindh, 19 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 8 are in Balochistan.

Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim had pledged that details of Form 15 would be uploaded on ECP’s office.

According to Fafen, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehmam, Ayaz Sadiq, Javed Hashmi, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Arif Alvi, Zahid Hamid, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Abid Sher Ali, Farooq Sattar, Nabeel Gabool, Capt. Safdar and Sheikh Rohail Asghar contested on these constituencies
