Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has resolved to approach the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), seeking Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s ineligibility to take his office.
According to PTI spokesperson, the party would file an application to the ECP today to get Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers, and later a petition would be charged for his disqualification.
PTI spokesperson Dr Shireen Mazari her party is going to file the petition on the grounds that PM Nawaz Sharif did not fulfill qualification specified in Article 62 and Article 63 of the Constitution.
He violated his 10-year exile deal and lied to the country. He has been convicted in Asghar Ali Khan case and helicopter purchase case.
