Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk has been appointed as 22nd Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Head Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani will retire on July 5 after serving more than ten years as a jurist and Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
President Mamnoon Hussain approved appointment of Justice Nasir ul Mulk who is the senior most judge after the Chief Justice.
Justice Nasir ul Mulk will oath of his office on July 6 and will serve till Aug 6, 2015.
After Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Saqib Nisar, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Umar Ata Bandial would become the chief judges of Pakistan as per seniority rules and official record of the Supreme Court.
