ISLAMABAD: Musharraf’s doctors suggest treatment abroad

Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has been suggested by his physicians to immediately look for medical treatment overseas.

Agreeing to a medical report the previous president has spinal fractures which cannot be treated in Pakistan due to a lack of expertness. Medical experts are of the opinion that Pakistan lacks technology to care for such an injury

The five member medical panel has recommended that Musharraf can receive treatment in Dubai, North America and Europe.

The account by the medical team comes a day later the federal government opposed removing Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) in its reply submitted in the Sindh High Court (SHC).

Granting to the federation’s response the SHC was not empowered to pick up the lawsuit relating to removing the Musharraf’s name from the ECL as the order to place the former president on the list was issued by the Supreme Court.

The Sindh High Court will resume hearing of the event on Wednesday.
