ISLAMABAD: Raheel stresses need for preparedness

Army chief General Raheel Sharif stressed the need for preparedness to fulfill the country’s security challenges.


“A high state of preparedness is required at all times given the enormity of security challenges,” he stated during a sojourn to the Sonmiani Range near Karachi to witness airdefensee exercises.

“The highest measure of training and professionalism must remain our hallmark to accomplish the commission,” the army chief was quoted by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) as saying while interacting with the participating troops.

Granting to the ISPR, the wide range of air defense weapons, include anti-aircraft guns and surface-to-air projectiles, were employed in the workout.

It said that the army chief appreciated the professionalism of participatbyg units and the measures reached by engaging aerial targets.

General Raheel was received by Lt Gen Muhammad Zahid Latif  Mirza, Commander Army Air Defence Command.
