The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has gathered to decide on extending the ceasefire in Pakistan and the advancement of peace talks with the regime.

The meeting was halted at an undisclosed spot in North Waziristan region.
The TTP, which sounds out its previous requirements have not been gathered, presented two conditions for the dialogue to continue – immediate departure of non-combatant prisoners and declaration of a peace zone where the militants can freely go around.
Some members were in favor of continuing the ceasefire for another short period.
The TTP had disclosed a month-long ceasefire March 1. This was covered until April 10 as the Pakistan government had issued 19 non-combatant prisoners earlier this month as a good will gesture for bolstering the peace operation.
