An anti-terrorism court allowed former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf exemption from appearing before it today and ordered him to secure his presence on August 8 without fail.
The anti-terrorism court’s judge Atiqur Rehman heard the lawsuit on Friday.
During the proceedings, Javed Safdar, counsel for Pervez Musharraf submitted the latter’s medical report, telling the doctors had suggested him to get rest for three weeks and avoid travelling.
He also filed Pervez Musharraf’s application for exemption from appearance for today.
The tribunal had the plea as the prosecutor general raised no objection to it and told the old president to appear before the court in all circumstances in the next hearing on August 8.
