KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Monsoon showers continued to occur in upper and central regions of the country

Monsoon showers continued to occur in upper and central regions of the country on Thursday as Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast more rains during the following 48 hours.

The PMD has forecast rain in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday.
Heavy rain lashed several cities of Punjab, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, breaking the heat wave and turning the weather pleasant.

According to the PMD, the rain spell will stay till Friday.
The Met Office has forecast cloudy and windy weather for Quetta and Karachi with chances of drizzle during the following 24 hours.
