KHUHRO – New schools in Sukkur planned

SUKKUR: Sindh Education Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has stated that about 500 private schools are still not teaching Sindhi as subject to their scholars.


Mr Khuhro stated that today one school was being built here in Sukkur with the cooperation of the American people and 119 more schools would be built in the flood-affected districts of Sindh, adding Sukkur, Larkana, Thatta, Dadu, Khairpur, Qambar Shahdad Kot and Jacobabad.

Speaking to reporter here on Tuesday, he stated that strict action opposed to the management of these private schools will be taken. He stated that after the implementation of the 18th Amendment the education department has instituted a change to the course of study.

He pronounced that the private schools are bound to ensure teaching Sindhi as subject, to their students. He sounded out that free textbooks will be secured and added that the textbooks have been sent off to schools.
