LAHORE: Heavy rain whip Lahore

Hard rainfall on Tuesday morning lashed the provincial capital and other regions of the state, turning the weather pleasant and inundating some roads.

Families rushed to parks and open spaces to enjoy pleasant change in the conditions.

They thronged Bagh-e-Jinnah (Lawrence Garden), Zoo, Jillani Park, Minar-e-Pakistan and Gulshan Iqbal Park to enjoy the pleasant weather.

Some segments of major roads, including Lawrence Road, Mcload Road, Nicholson Road, Davis Road and Jail Road were inundated with rainwater that disrupted traffic flow during the daytime.

Several vehicles were held fast in the traffic due to the big rainfall and rain on roads in many neighborhoods.

The Met official said that more rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Gujranwala and Lahore divisions in next 24 hours.

The official stated that temperature is also likely to fall during the following brace of days.

The maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 32 degree Celsius and the minimum touched 22 degree centigrade.
