LAHORE: Minhaj-ul-Quran summoned the record of the Joint Investigation Team

Sessions Court Lahore hearing the plea of the administration of Minhaj-ul-Quran summoned the record of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Model Town firing case.

Minhaj-UL-Quran in its plea held the Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Punjab, Federal Interior Minister and other top government officials responsible for the carnage in Lahore, in which 14 individuals were killed and over 100 other were injured.

Minhaj-UL-Quran lawyer Mansoor-ur-Rehman Afridi in the hearing before Additional Sessions Judge Safdar Bhonti argued that the indiscriminate police firing on the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek in Model Town 14 persons were voted down and over 100 were wounded. He took that the footprint was necessitated at the behest of the Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Punjab, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Rana Sanaullah, GUllu Butt and top police officials.

The counsel pleaded to the courtroom to order registration of all these persons.

The SHO Faisal Town could not appear in the courtroom along with the case record.

The public prosecutor informed the tribunal that the case record has been in the hands of the Joint Investigation Team.

He sought time from the court for presenting the case record.

The learned judge ordered the SHO to produce the event record in the next hearing on July 15.
