Modi calls Nawaz, expresses grief over deaths in earthquake

ISLAMABAD: India Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi contacted Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif and expressed grief over deaths of Pakistani people in deadly earthquake.


According to sources in PM House, Indian PM expressed grief over deaths and offered aid for Pakistan earthquake victims.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif has directed all the federal civil, military and provincial agencies to declare immediate alert and mobilize all resources to ensure safety of citizens.

The Prime Minister has ordered that all facilities will provided to provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited Peshawar after the deadly earthquake in the country.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, he will monitor all the rescue operation in KhyberPakhtun Khwa (KP).
