MQM chief appears before Scotland Yard in London


LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday appeared before Scotland Yard in connection with an ongoing investigation in alleged money laundering case.


Altaf Hussain is accompanied by MQM leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar, Muhammad Anwar, Wasay Jalil, Nadeem Nusrat, Barrister Farogh Naseem and Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif.

The Scotland Yard had reportedly recovered around 6 lac pounds from MQM’s London secretariat and Altaf Hussain’s residence in a raid during investigation in Imran Farooq murder case.

The Scotland Yard had deferred the hearing of MQM head’s July hearing till October.

MQM leaders Tariq Mir and Muhammad Anwar would appear before the Scotland Yard on October 6 and 7 respectively.
