MQM, JUI-F should not create hurdles for PTI’s return: Hashmi

MULTAN: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Wednesday said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s (PTI) decision to sit in the Parliament is morally wrong but is correct in the eyes of the law.

While talking to media at his residence, Hashmi said that rest of the political parties should not create hurdles for PTI’s return.

Hashmi revealed that Kulsoom Nawaz and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have invited him to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He will make a decision in the matter soon, he added.

While talking about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s speeches, he accused him of treason and demanded the government to bring him back for trial.

Hashmi said that the military leadership chose a rather legal pathway instead of intervening in the political scenario.

He welcomed decision of establishment of military courts and the Supreme Court’s (SC) verdict in the matter. The democratic forces are thankful to the military leadership for choosing a legal path, he added.
