NAB confirms Farid Yousfani involved in corruption


KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday confirmed that Farid Ahmed Yousfani, a former director of Lines Area Settlement Project (LASP), is involved in corruption worth Rs5 billion.


According to a spokesman for NAB, Yousfani was involved in illegal allotment to builders and land grabbers besides ‘China-cutting’, a term often used for illegal plotting and sale of the state’s land.

The money collected from land grabbing and illegal sale was used for funding terrorism.

The NAB spokesman went on to say that the accused has confessed to involvement of many former administrators of KDA and Revenue officials, who according him made billions in assets.
