Nisar directs FC to shift Chaman suspects to Islamabad

QUETTA: Inspector General of Frontier Corps (FC) Major General Sher Afgan Thursday telephoned Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and briefed him about two suspects arrested on Chaman border.

During their conversation, Nisar directed FC IG to shift the suspects to Islamabad after initial investigations.

Earlier, Frontier Corps (FC) claimed to have arrested two suspects on Chaman border.

According to FC spokesman, the suspects are identified as Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim, who are affiliated with a Karachi-based political party.

The spokesman said that the accused were entering Pakistan from Afghanistan sans carrying travel documents.

It is still unclear whether the arrested persons are the same wanted in MQM leader Imran Farooq murder case.

But, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, two days ago, had expressed his commitment to bring the murderers of the MQM leader to book.
