Security forces in wee hours of Thursday launched air strikes on militants’ hideouts in different areas of Miranshah, North Waziristan Agency, killing several militants.
The air strikes were set in motion following a tip-off of the militants’ presence in the region.
Bombings were carried out with the help of fighters jet and gunship helicopters. Sources informed that several activists were shot down and hurt in the air strikes.
Similar strikes were set up by security forces yesterday wherein at least 70 militants were defeated in North Waziristan.
Scores of hideouts were destroyed in the aftermath of bombing by armed military units. Curfew is still in place in areas of North Waziristan with no repose in it.
