PESHAWAR – On Thursday, at least nine security personnel were wiped out and several others sustained injured when a roadside bomb detonated in North Waziristan Agency.
Military officials said the paramilitary soldiers were doing close to internal drives in the Ghulam Khan area of North Waziristan when they added up under attack.“Some terrorists had established a powerful IED on the Miranshah-Ghulam Khan Road.
The explosive device had been sited on the road and set off by remote control when the convoy was going through the region.
The departed were recognized as Abdul Latif, Aziz, Roze Ullah, Saeedullah, Danish, Gul Alam, Sadiqullah, Naeemullah and Arif.
The wounded were admitted to the district headquarters hospital in Miramshah.
The North Waziristan Taliban and those operating in one subsection of South Waziristan, led by commander Salahuddin Ayubi, are not part of the mainstream Pakistani Taliban or the TTP headed by the Afghanistan-based Maulana Fazlullah.
