One killed, 13 apprehended, two bodies confiscated in Karachi


KARACHI: At least one person was shot dead in recent firing incident in Agra Taj Colony, area of Karachi here on Monday while the security personnel also apprehended as many as 13 suspects.


The joint operation of Rangers and police is still successfully underway in different parts of Karachi. The officers conducted a door-to-door search operation in Manghopir police station’s area Pakhtunabad and arrested 13 suspects.

Rangers personnel also claimed to have confiscated weapons including three pistols from the possession of the detainees.

Meanwhile, Rangers in a raid at Lyari General Hospital took one criminal into custody. The suspect, belonging to Lyari gangwar and Uzair Baloch group, has been shifted to some undisclosed place for interrogation.

Furthermore in Agra Taj Colony, one person was gunned down in targeted shooting incident. The corpse has been shifted to hospital for post mortem and identification process whereas security officers have also started investigation into the matter.

Separately, two tortured bodies have been recovered from super highway and Baldia Town areas.

The senior police official stated that Karachi operation was launched by government which is giving positive outcomes as dozens of extortionists, target killers and terrorists have been held so far. He said that stern action will be continued until the end of last criminal.
