PAF always maintains lofty state of professional – COAS

SARGODHA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has a crucial role to build the country’s defense invincible.

The Army Chief added that PAF and Pak Army will fight side by side for the defense of the nation. He pronounced that the Pakistan Army would combat any challenge along with PAF. Pakistan Air Force has re-equipped its fourth Squadron with state-of-the art F-16 jet planes. The Army Chief hailed operational and training capabilities of PAF.

Lauding the cooperation of Royal Jordanian Air Force and the Kingdom of Jordan, the Army Chief said this opening move would strengthen the existing historic bonds between the two nations.

In the first place, a smartly turned out contingent of 19th Squadron presented the universal salute to the chief guest backed by a parade. The Chief Guest transferred the Squadron flag to the new commander.

It is desirable to mark, that the aircraft had been purchased at a minimal price from Royal Jordanian Air Force after a series of negotiations held among concerned ministries and the concerted efforts of Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt.
