PM Nawaz leaves for Norway to attend Oslo summit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Monday left for Norway to participate in Oslo Summit on Education for Development.

The visit would be a milestone in the bilateral relations between the two countries as the three-day trip is the first official visit of a Pakistani premier to Norway in over a decade.

Experts hope that the visit will help strengthening the ties between Pakistan and Norway.

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg had invited his Pakistani counterpart to participate in the Oslo Summit on Education for Development.

PM Nawaz’s visit will provide an opportunity to hold talks on bilateral as well as global and regional issues with the Norwegian leadership.

During the visit, PM Nawaz is expected to interact with several world leaders besides addressing the Oslo summit.

The premier will also hold delegation-level talks with his Norwegian counterpart. He will also meet Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus.
