PML-N grabs Multan’s PP 196 seat after heated contest


MULTAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has won the by-election on provincial assembly’s seat PP 196 after heated contest, with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on second place and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on third, NewsOne reported.


According to details, PML-N’s candidate Rana Mehmoodul Hassan secured 28,326 votes whereas PTI’s candidate Rana Abdul Jabbar got 18,109 votes and PPP candidate Hussain Arain got 6531 votes.

PML-N workers and supporters celebrated by dancing to the beats of drums and distributed sweets.
