Police raids Zulfiqar Mirza’s residence in Karachi

KARACHI: Police raided residence of former home minister of Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza in Karachi on Friday.

According to our correspondent, heavy contingent of police force surrounded Defence Phase-8 residence and a few officials entered the house to arrest Mirza.

However, the firebrand Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader was at home at the time of raid. Police arrested one of his guards and a servant in the raid.

Mirza is openly criticizing PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur accusing both of them of corruption and nepotism in Sindh.

Mirza is wanted by police in at least ten cases but he is on interim bail these days.
